Anything is Possible

I’m always interested in ways to improve my blog’s ranking in search engines, you know, that illusive listing on the first page of search results, and the even more illusive number one listing amongst the millions of others.
Last night I thumbed through all the keywords that brought people to this site, and it’s interesting to see what people search for. I noticed, with little surprise, that articles that I specifically target at a certain audience does the best.
The landscape of search is constantly evolving, so I do a lot of reading to keep ahead of what is new in Google and Co’s land. A few days ago I stumbled across the Apogee Search Blog, which gave me a fresh perspective on search engine placements and website marketing based on how people search.
The Apogee Search Blog is run by a company of the same name who’s a SEO in Houston. The Blog is written from a unique perspective, because they use an interesting mix of paid search, natural search, actual media buying and ad exchanges to promote websites they are contracted to.
This article on search behaviour was a particularly interesting read after I looked at what people searched for when they found my site. It deals with what we think when we search and how the brain works and influences the keywords that we use.
In the world of search engine marketing and making sites perfect for search engines, it’s easy to forget the human perspective. But in the end, getting to number 1 on search results means keeping your readers minds in your mind.

The US mortgage market is in as much turmoil as it has been in decades. The UK market, some say, is not far behind, but it depends on who you believe.
In several British news papers today it was gloves off with comments from analysts of the housing sector about exactly what state the market is in, with some going as far as to say a total crash is imminent.
But, said some of the bigger lenders in the UK, for the fourth month in a row prices fell, inflation is down and the seemingly good news for home buyers is that in a few months house prices might be in negative growth.
However, borrowing institutions has made it more difficult to get your toes wet with interest rate penalties for those who borrow 95% or more of the value of their homes. Some institutions also apply a smaller interest penalty if you borrow between 75% and 90% of the value of what could be home sweet home.
The truly good news is that bargains are still to be had with comparatively low rates and some lenders even willing to peg your rate for a number of years.
The best news is that you can get a free Mortgage Quote and have the entire mortgage market scoured on your behalf in search of the best deal.

I’ve been to many places, but have never considered Canada for a holiday, until I stumbled across information about Halifax, Nova Scotia, a beautiful part of Canada, which piqued my interest immediately.
If I opted for this destination, I’d need flights to Canada, and although on-line bookings are popular, businesses like Dialaflight still provide good old fashion service over the phone.
I will still do my research on the Internet of course, in fact, dailaflight.com provides flight and accommodation information and even travel ideas. For instance, did I discover on their website, Halifax has one of the biggest deep-water harbours in the world.
I also learned that I’d be able to discover more of Halifax’s maritime history in the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic and Pier 21.
Once the research and planning is all lined up, the actual bookings are just a friendly phone call away.

I suffer a smidgen of high cholesterol every now and again, and heart attacks worry me, especially since this month, six years ago, my dad passed away because of one.
There is, however, a condition called Sudden Cardiac Arrest, which isn’t the same as a heart attack, and affects over 300,000 people per year in the US alone.
The condition is prevalent in those at risk of or recovering from heart attacks, but is even prevalent in children. In fact, around two thirds of Sudden Cardiac Arrest will occur in people with no prior heart conditions.
Learn more about your heart at InsideCardiacArrest.com and find out what the difference is between a heart attack and Sudden Cardiac Arrest and how Cardiac Arrhythmia fits into the picture.
