Anything is Possible

Well hello! I’m Jaco (pronounced ya-cu). That’s me on the right, I know it’s difficult to tell. I’m originally from South Africa and now live close to my son in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia.
Until such time as scientists discover that they don’t know at all much about the universe, I will assume that there is only one earth. And on this one earth, at some point during the writing of this blog, there were 6.5 billion people.
I believe there’s an adventure in every single person on this planet. Clearly, I’m way behind.
Born in:
Cape Town, South Africa in the lap of Table Mountain. It’s little wonder that I have a connection with mountains and nature in general.
Current Location:
Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, in the lap of another mountain, Mt. Kinabalu, near where my son lives.
Kota Kinabalu is a smallish city with a big heart. On the fringes of the Tunku Adul Rahman Marine park where incredible diving awaits, considering how close to the city it is.
It’s also just around the corner from Sipadan, possibly one of the this planet’s best diving sites. And don’t forget the natural treasures on land - Kinabalu Park, a world heritage site, unspoiled (for how long is anybody’s guess) natural primary rainforest and the fast disappearing animals it hides.
What’s this blog about?
Oh, nothing in particular, just lots of memories of adventures that I’ve had with people, places and operating systems.
Much of it might be boring personal stuff, and the rest are discoveries of information I made whilst searching for useful things, and have relayed it in the hope it might be useful for others too.
How do I contact you?
Oh why, you mean like to offer me a mega-million dollar sponsorship deal for my wildly popular blog about nothing in particular?
Of course you can!
Just leave a message on any post, if it clears the spam filters I’ll get it soon enough.
