Howzit!  My name is Jaco (pronounced ya-ku). That’s me on the right.  I’m a South African currently living on the island of Borneo.

Somebody once told me, and meant it as an insult, that I’m a blogger, a traveler and an eco-warrior.  Of course, I knew this already and it describes me just fine.

Until such time as scientists discover otherwise, I will assume that there is only 1 earth.  And on this 1 earth, at some point during the writing of this blog, there were 6.5 billion people.

I believe there’s an adventure in every single person on this planet.  I would love to experience them all.  Clearly, I’m way behind.

What’s this blog about?

Oh, nothing in particular.

Much of it might be boring personal stuff, and the rest are about adventures, and also some discoveries I made for myself, but are unlikely to be new to the world at large. I record it, in any event, in case it’s of value to somebody else, either as information, entertainment or as a suitable reason to procrastinate.
