Heh. I've exactly like this kind of FireFox based billboard myself too. And I first tried to hide it with JS also, but then I just made invisible windows cursor. Too bad that this happened start of the year and I didn't find this blog post.

Hi Foo – I'm sure I tried that, but the problem was that my kiosk had no keyboard and mouse attached, and, if I remember correctly, to get the CSS parameter to kick in, the cursor has to actually move 1 pixel first.

In Firefox 3 you can hide the cursos with this CSS parameter:

cursor:none;
