If you happened to be looking for costume ideas for a nurse themed party, or a doctor themed party, or a hospital themed party, then you’ve landed on the right post.
Over the weekend Sri, Mel and Cara threw the party to end all parties when they had their house-warming, themed SMC (their names, but also the acronym for Sabah Medical Centre), which was apt, as it meant that it required loads of dirty doctor, naughty nurse and pervy patient costumes.
Of all the recent themed parties in Kota Kinabalu, and there has been a lot, I think this was the one that allowed for the most accessories. Sure, the previous weekend’s Pirate Party had loads of accessories, but not only did people come to this hospital themed party with loads of accessories, but it seemed as if every second person had some sort of gimmick as well. It was great.
Here’s an overview of some of the costumes that proliferated. Props to the girls AND guys who went full out with this theme. It seems as if even the shy guys swallowed their apprehensions and went that extra mile.
Here we have Candy Striper Nurse Becky, Army Angel Pip (a.k.a. Connie Linggus), Spacey Nurse Shirley, Surgeon John, in front of him Witchdoctor Sri, the face-only sticking out is House Maid cum Nurse Erika, the lovely Raunchy Nurse Roger and the effervescent Jolly Nurse Julia. Nurse outfits were the hits amongst the women and, for obvious reasons, the men. Only one guy, Nurse Roger a.k.a. Anita Lay, went as a nurse. He was ach-oh-tee.
As themed parties go, this one my as well have been a fetish party. Never have I seen so many nurse costumes, and never ever have I seen so many hot nurses in nurse costumes. Phew!
Even the seemingly shy crawled out of their shells on this night. Julia and Phyllis, usually game for anything except posing was on the forefront of naughtiness. John, also game but oh so conservative even allowed himself to be chucked in the pool!

hi there? where can i buy or rent these costumes?
Hello
Well, I'm in Kota Kinabalu Malaysia and many of the costumes were made by the participants themselves. I know a few of them bought some of the outfits in stores here (the black nurses outfit for instance). Others were bits picked up from medical places (surgeon, patient, doctors), and one or two were self made (army nurse, and most of the nurses wearing white).
I am getting ready to have this type of party in Aug!! looking for decorations you got any good ideas?
