Just returned from my friend Marius, same surname, no relation, although eventually we will look the same. Anyway, he has satelite which is where they showed the rugby game between South Africa and Australia, and I’m happy to report that South Africa won. It was a good game and the Aussies played well, just not well enough.
Anyway, spoke about all sorts of things, life, work, opportunities, children. You see, he has twins, they’re cute. About a year younger than Jarrod and oh so active. I miss Jarrod alot, and I can’t wait for October. I spoke to him about my business and was very optimistic about the tour and made me realise again that the best form of marketing really is networking. He also has some excellent ideas and we might be working on some stuff together.
You can have as good a product as you like, but if nobody knows about it then really it is useless. So here I’ve got this great product and I’m sure if people knew about it they would use it, but no money to carry the message. I should really use my meagre funds and go get myself some business cards, but decent ones are so expensive. Maybe I can get not-so-decent ones instead.
Anyway, have a party tonight. Going with a friend to keep her company and I know absolutely nobody there, but having been stuck in my room (*cough* office) for so long, I probably need this and dispite strong feelings of not wanting to go due to all sorts of insecurities, I have decided to ignore it and go anyway. Should be a good night out.
